
It’s a ravishing day within the neighborhood.
Fred Rogers Productions, the nonprofit producer of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood and Donkey Hodie for PBS, is launching Writers’ Neighborhood, a five-year initiative supposed to help new and rising writers from underrepresented racial teams who wish to pursue a profession in youngsters’s media.
As a part of the initiative, Writers’ Neighborhood is accepting purposes to its 8-week-long program from Could 1-15. This system is aimed to assist chosen candidates hone their expertise in addition to broaden their expertise within the subject.

“Many writers in youngsters’s media are freelancers, so we designed the Writers’ Neighborhood with a twin focus of growing your craft and constructing your profession,” says Ellen Doherty, Chief Inventive Officer, Fred Rogers Productions. “Realizing methods to write a very good story or develop participating characters is a very totally different ability set from discovering work, asking for and understanding suggestions or cultivating relationships, and we wish to assist our fellows acquire expertise on all fronts.”
